ugh! "The DENTIST" - Part 2

IS THERE LIP-BALM ON MY CHIN..? I CAN'T FEEL MY LIPS!!

Well, I actually managed to arrive at THE DENTIST *Early*! - Got My BUS-Connections ON-TIME. And, despite the TEMPS being on the Cooler-side, with lots of Looking-to-RAIN-Broken-Clouds overhead, NOTHING Meteorologically-Messy happened. -- YAY! -- [I think My RainCOAT scared IT off!?]

As to My DENTAL FATE... IT turned out to be far LESS Problematic than I had Expected!
-- YAY! -- huh. I even have some "Coverage"-room LEFT... BONUS!

Meanwhile... The "FREEZING" kept My Lower-Lip NUMB for some Time! That's always a WEIRD Feeling... One has to be constantly mindful to NOT *CHEW* the Tingling-Flesh to Pieces!
-- Believe Me, when I Say, "BEEN THERE. DONE *THAT*!!" -- Whatever, IT's ANNOYING!

So, got all of My Return-BUSES straight-away. Spent the Journey-Time engaged in Conversation with an Interesting-Post-Different-Dentist-Appointment-DESIGNER-LADY.
-- We talked "SHOP"!

Got off at THE MALL... Picked up the odd Item, then Walked HOME.

I think I'll go *PLAY* with that PINK and GREY YARN now... Perhaps the GREEN One, too... IT's been a Few DAYS...

"WHY" I am Sooo *NOT* a "FARM"-GIRL!!

CHECKOUT *POOR* KRISTIN'S "HOLIDAY-WEEKEND"!! -- I knew there was a Reason for My *lack* of Fondness for Domesticated-Felines...

Anyhoo, MY Day wasn't even REMOTELY as *TRYING* - unless of course, "BOREDOM" counts..? IT was just a VEG-in-My-Room-Flipping-Through-Another-New-[3rd-one-this-week]-Decor-Mag-as-I-Watched-the-STOCK-MARKETS-Take-a-DIVE-and-Caught-up-on-Some-Reading-Well-at-Least-the-WEATHER-is-Nice kind of Day.

Honestly, **NOTHING** to BLOOG ABOUT!! - [..BTW, Washing My Hair doesn't *count*, either!]

Besides, I need to Conserve My BLOOGish-SUPER-POWERS for Tomorrow's DENTAL-DILEMAS! -- I should probably go Floss now... curl up My Hair...

The Tuesday-Tour-de-TRAINYARDS with TOTO..

..ah..I mean "MOTHER"...

You know, IF I had stuck to My "usual" *SOLO*-Shopping-Routine, I might have gotten HOME **BEFORE** the STORM! Alas, however, I brought MOTHER with Me...

So. The "WEATHER"... Predictions earlier in the Week had "suggested" that Precipitation would be rampant for the ENTIRE Time!

-- WHAT "really" Happened... A *brief* Thunderstorm late Sunday Night. Nothing Yesterday. Gorgeous this MORNING... UNTIL the Noon-Time-Weather-Report called for another SEVERE STORM-LINE for the AFTERNOON!!

ahh...like *crap*!!? -- I have STUFF-TO-*DO*!! There goes My "Perusal-Plans"!

Anyway, I HAD to do some Banking at THE BIG MALL. With NO Time to spend "Browsing" if I wanted to get to TRAINYARDS ahead of the Weather. -- Have I mentioned the Part that MOTHER isn't so *quick* with the Walking..?

Eventually, We GOT to MICHAEL'S! -- I could SEE a CLOUD-LINE in the Distance...

I only had one 40%-OFF-COUPON, hence, just the ONE BALL... ah. A SALE on BOXES... And, IT *was* SENIORS'-10%-OFF-DAY...

My *FINALLY* Received COUNTRY LIVING JUNE Issue of the Other Day, had this 2-Page-Spread - [p.27-28] - on OCTOPUS STUFF...

And, seeing as I *do* have THIS-"THING"-for-STUFF-NAUTICALLY-OCEANIC... How *could* I pass on THESE?

I got the BLACK-TICKING One to put My recent BLACK & WHITE Acquisitions into.

MEANWHILE, as I was at the CHECKOUT, I could SEE *GREYNESS* headed Our Way!
A few DROPS were beginning to Fall... So, OF COURSE, I get the RED-LIGHT on the Way to WALMART!!

We made it IN *just* BEFORE the FIRST DOWNPOUR!! And, LIGHTNING. And, THUNDER...

You could HEAR the RAIN OVER the "Muzak"... We were IN There for over a HALF-HOUR waiting for THE STORM to Pass. - I had some Frozen-Food to get and wanted to wait until the Last Minute to get IT.

So. BLINDING SUNLIGHT showed up once IT stopped, glaring off the receding INCHES of RAINWATER! -- We headed HOME, BEHIND the STORMLINE whilst the Going was Good! By Dinner Time, the Weather was all SHINY and "PERFECT" as if *nothing* had EVER Happened...

BTW, has ANYONE seen My RED SHOES..?

...That led to THIS bit of "INSPIRATION"!

hmm..."Next" up..?

THESE ARE THE COLOURS I PICKED UP...

...Yesterday. At MICHAEL'S, with a Couple of 50%-OFF-COUPONS. -- There wasn't any RED on Shelf - [I'm trying to stock-up before The HOLIDAYS..] - Anyhoo, despite My Lack-of-Fondness for HOT-PINK, IT is tolerable with GREY. And, I'm sure that SOMEONE will be *WANTING* a "SHAN"-TOQUE in *that* Colour! ...eventually.

We've been FRAMED into "SHOP"-mission!!

OH! AND, **HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BIG-D**!!

Despite the Scorching-Sunlight, a Perfect-Day for the usual SATURDAY-SALE-SCAVENGE! Thankfully, most of the Humidity had been blown away by the brief, yet *quite* VIOLENT, STORMLINE that swept through the Local Area just after Dinner Last Night. - [a Teenager died from a Lightning-Strike!]

We actually had a "TORNADO-WATCH" WARNING! - Not a common occurrence in These Parts. We get some Severe-Wind-Storms, but Twisters are a bit Rare... Anyway, We had several Inches of Flash-RAIN, but IT drained off soon enough. I think a few of Our LILAC Bushes got beat-up though.

Whatever... BEACON HILL was having a "Community" YARD-SALE Day..?

-- You know, I remember the Days when THAT meant Every-Other-House had a Sale!! - "NOW"
...not-so-much! Nevertheless, We had a FULL DAY of "Shopping"!!

So, CHECK OUT My "TRUNK-Space"....

"WOLF" NEEDLEWORK - 50-Cents - ATTEMPTING to Photograph THIS
"Properly" was a *challenge*! - [there's a lot more Colour-Detail going on!] - The actual "Canvas" is about 4x6", Professionally-Framed into a 8x10" matte under Glass. You have to see IT up-close to fully appreciate The "ARTISAN's" Skill in combining the Stitches with the Fiber-Textures.
-- MOTHER had thought IT was a "Painting", even from a close-distance.

My initial intention was to give IT to SISTER - since She likes Wolves - however, *IF* IT doesn't
"fit" into Her *current* Decor, then *I'll* KEEP IT! -- Then again, I *should* just keep IT anyway!.. IT really IS Well-Done!

hmm... IT would look good next to My NAVAJO SAND PAINTING[SEE 28MAY2011 POST] - and that BISON PAINTING - [SEE 07MAY2011 POST]...

BUD-VASES
- *FREE*

YES! THESE were in a "FREE-STUFF" Box!! They're about 5-Inches High.

Nice "neutral" Shades
that can fit ANY where!

PEWTER FRAMES
$10. - TOTAL

- The TWO LARGER FRAMES are 13x11", Made in MEXICO. The "backings" need Repair, but that's a *minor* Issue!

I love the AZTEC-ish Design!

- The SMALLER ONE is in good condition with ITS lovely *metal* Arm-Stand.

WOOD / CHROME FRAMES - $2. - TOTAL - We found THIS LOT after the Pewter-Place... These FRAMES are in Perfect Condition!! A Couple *still* have Their $20-PRICE-STICKERS on!! The Lower-Left one is Chrome...

-- BTW, the handful of Other-Ones that I passed on, MOTHER got for the SAME *Steal* of a Price!

COPPER
"ETCHING" of EDINBURGH CASTLE

- 50-Cents

- I got THIS with the WOLF Canvas. -- I've actually been to the Place...

And, I have a Few of These Type of "Etchings" - that should probably be more accurately referred to as "EMBOSSMENTS"..?

Whichever, I'm *trying* to Remember whether or not if I don't ALREADY *have* THIS ONE..?!

As for the OTHER ODDS & ENDS of My BOOTY...

Magnetized WIRE-WEAVE HOLDER - [upside-down] - 10-Cents - IT's only a Few-Inches in size, but I'm sure that IT'll be handy for Something!

Magnetized RECYCLED-GLASS TEALIGHT-HOLDER - 25-Cents - "Someone" certainly had a Thing for Little-Magnets and Glue-Guns!!

"IKEA"-esque PEWTER PULL-KNOBS - There were FOUR of THESE in the *same* Bag as the...

PINK CERAMIC DRAWER-PULLS - 50-Cents - TOTAL for 20 of THESE plus the 4-Pewter ones. Despite NOT being a big "Pink" FAN, I *do* love Ceramics-bits... Perhaps, One of The PROGENY will be in Need of Them at some Future Date..? -- Besides, at THAT Price..?!

DRAGONFLY SHOWER RINGS - $2. - A DOZEN of THESE. Brand NEW! Good quality.

RHINO PIN - 50-Cents - I "know" that I have ONE of THESE "someWHERE" in My
"COLLECTION"! And, in Silver-Colour, too... Whatever. IT's a *RHINO*!! -- I couldn't "NOT"
Buy IT!!

AFTERWARD, We stopped off at the BEACON HILL MALL, where We made Our "MOST-UNIQUE-FIND-OF-THE-DAY"!!

On the way Back to The CAR, MOTHER spotted what, I thought, was just a bit of a folded
"brochure"..?? - After I got Her into The VEHICLE, I went back to IT - if *only* to Satisfy Her Curiosity... Well, as IT turned out, IT was SOMEONE'S *PASSPORT*!! - A "Foreign" one.

Which, had NO Contact Info! Anyway, on the chance that Said Owner was *still* IN the Mall, I left IT with the "Saturday-Manager" of the Pharmacy - since, it was Their Parking-Area. And, the most "secure" Store that was Open! -- The Bank and the "Government" Departments housed there weren't...

Meanwhile, We still had further THINGS-TO-DO-PLACES-TO-BE!!

LONG-AFTERNOON-SHORT... MICHAEL'S - WALMART - THE MALL - HOME!!

UGH!! -- "The DENTIST"!!

VISIT-ONE... -- oh-kay...so IT wasn't THAT BAD!

Mostly because of 4-Words: "THANK YOU DENTAL INSURANCE!!" - However, I DO have *another* "Appointment" for Next Week... And, *hopefully*, NOT an Additional One AFTERward..?

-- I probably really SHOULD "FLOSS" *more*!

oh, well... I got another "FREE" [?] TOOTHBRUSH and TUBE of PASTE!!

ANYHOO... At least the WEATHER was quite HOT & SHINY! Some Breezy Clouds to break-up the SCORCHING Moments. So glad that the BUSES have Air-Conditioning!

Seeing as I had been in a RUSH to catch My various BUS-Connections ON-TIME, I didn't have opportunity to make any PIT-"SHOPS" along the Way. Had to Wait until the End for My *Tour*-de-MALL... And then, WALK HOME from There. -- This is the Part where those CLOUDS were of much RELIEF!

Later, I spent some more Time on THIS...

hmm... I wonder if I should Crochet little TOOTH-FAIRY BAGS out of that FREE DENTAL FLOSS..?

Sale-STOPPERs...

HOT & SUNNY Today! -- Had STUFF to *do*. THINGS to BUY! - TRAFFIC to stay Ahead of!

I Began with a Brief Visit to THE BIG MALL. Just the BANK and POST OFFICE. *NO* Purchases,
despite the Temptations of one Place...

On to MICHAEL'S... Had a COUPON that needed to FULFILL ITS *DISCOUNTING*-DESTINY! -- Got another BALL of that Light GREEN WOOL I've been using. Since there wasn't anything ELSE of "interest", I didn't stay long, as I needed to get a jump on the Soon-To-Be-TRAFFIC on the Way to COSTCO.

Same ole Stuff THERE! -- Milk, Eggs, Bananas, MOTHER'S Magazine... ah. Paper-Towels are on SALE! OH! And, I need Crackers too...

-- BTW, IT's a Good Thing that I *ALWAYS* bring a COOLER-*with*-ICE whenever there's a probability of Grocery-Acquisitions in the offing. Otherwise, "HATCHING" might have occurred in My *HOT* WHEELS!!

Anyhoo... Seeing as I didn't have Time to Last Week, Today, I MADE the Time to DOCK at PIER ONE!! -- There was a SALE still ON!

Ahh... SO *much* COOL-STUFF-THAT-I-HAVE-**NO**-ROOM-FOR!!
- [aarrggghhhh!!] - I settled on These BITS...

I got The GARDEN TOOL ORNAMENTS for SISTER... They're about 3 or 4 Inches, made of what seems like some Porcelain-Sand-Resin-MIX?? -- I don't care really, as They're "CUTE", I know She'll love Them, *AND* They were only 18-Cents-a-Piece!! - [MOTHER rather liked Them as well... I might have to go Back later in the Week!]

Meanwhile... *NOT* that I really "need" Them, BUT I liked the CLASSIC BLACK & WHITE STRIPING of These CORK-STOPPERS. The 88-Cents Each Price also favoured well in My "Decision"...

They're only a Couple of Inches. I thought the Knobs might be Glass, but I'm leaning toward a very hard Acrylic perhaps..? I have to take a closer look... Later... I'm just going to ENJOY the "Look" of Them for NOW!!
