I Celebrated **POST-999** by Meeting with "The PRESIDENT"!!

-- of MICHAEL'S "CANADA", that is... [or at least He was..? I think He may be a VP of the Whole COMPANY now..??]

A rather Pleasant and Amiable GENTLEMAN... After MANAGER-DAVE graciously Introduced Me as His "Top-YARN-Sales-CUSTOMER", We proceeded to "Chat" YARN, as His SQUAD of CORPORATE-"MINIONS" took *NOTES*...

"WALT" seemed quite Receptive to My CUSTOMER-"OPINIONS", so it will be *Interesting* to see IF *ANY* of Them ever *actually* DO "Happen"..?!! -- [BTW, If BERNAT HANDICRAFTER-COTTON "BIG BALLS" ever show up, *THAT* was ME!!]

Anyway, I was a "Good-Girl" and didn't go past the *polite* FEW-Minutes-Mark so THEY could Continue with THEIR "BUSINESS"... Besides, I still had *MY* SHOPPING to do! -- *COUPONS* were burning a Hole in My Pockets!!

TODAY, I DECIDED to combine some *needed* Exercise and Shopping with a WALK over to FUTURE SHOP. As, IT was *NEW* DVD RELEASE DAY!!

I had been Hoping that IT would Come Out on DVD before Christmas! YAY! -- I've been Viewing IT This Evening whilst Playing around with some KNITTING... Strangely enough, watching JASON MOMOA has often been a Creative *Inspiration* with some of My CROCHET Designs.

Anyway, after a leisurely perusal of the Store, I headed over to THE MALL... Took My Time There too... Still NO Yarn! So, I drowned My "disappointment" with the Purchase of *Munchie* Food, REAL
Food, and dubious LOTTERY Pickings...

So. NO YARD SALE EXPEDITIONS Planned for Today... Instead, Our "Scavenging Prowess" was geared for the Semi-Annual NATIONAL WOMEN'S SHOW over at LANSDOWNE PARK.


More "C"-Words...

• CONSTRUCTION - I hadn't realized that the BANK STREET "Construction" - for THIS Year - went as far South as it Does... Right SMACK IN FRONT of the Park Entrance!!
• CROWDS - We arrived just as the Doors were Opening at 10am. Dropped MOTHER off near the Ticket Kiosk. I went in Search of Parking, and then, the END-OF-THE-MOVING-LINE that was wrapped Halfway around the Building... Once, INSIDE, it was a MASSES-Morass! -- LADIES, LEAVE-THE-BABIES-AT-HOME!!
• CROWS - Hours later, as We took a Break at THE CAR to Dump the "First" Round of BOOTY, I happened to notice a couple of Crows atop the Building... I'm looking at Them, then People below, "comparing" the Size of Both... Okay! Those Birds were FREAKING *HUGE*!!
• CRAP - Meanwhile, the rather Spacious Parking Lot was Host to numerous GULLS... Who, have this "Thing" for BLACK CARS... WE got Lucky! THIS Time!

As for Some of the more "Interesting" Highlights...for ME...

THIS absolutely shockingly COOL TESLA!! - Seriously, NOT My "CHOICE" of COLOUR. BUT, WHO CARES??!! Right?

And, Moments later... THESE CUTIES!! -- From The OTTAWA PROFESSIONAL FIRE FIGHTERS - a Few of  "The GREAT BOYS OF FIRE 2012 CALENDAR" GUYS!!

By This Point, I had pretty much gotten My Ticket's Worth! However, it was almost another Hour before We LEFT!

Anyhoo... We still had several SATURDAY-Things to DO... TRAINYARDS was along - sorta... - the Route Home.

A short Cruise through WALMART, then across the Complex to MICHAEL'S... Just Inside from The Entrance, was the CUP-CAKE-DECORATOR-LADY churning out THESE Culinary-Creations... Unfortunately, They were for DISPLAY Purposes ONLY!!

From There, it was additional Grocery-Getting, Losing-LOTTERY-Ticket-Acquisition, HOME, and the Division of Spoils... I think I have enough FREE Toothpaste now to get Me through to Year's End!

Hot Weather, Hot Stuff, *HOT* GUYS!!

WHAT MORE DOES A GIRL NEED?!

Once again, We started Out a wee bit "late"... But, as I *keep* telling MOTHER - "ZEN Shopping"! -- And, it's *not* like We really "need" MORE Stuff!

Anyhoo... We started with a Couple of YARD SALES in "Our" Neighbourhood.


I got THIS fabulous SUEDE JEWELRY BOX for ONLY 50-Cents!! It's about 16x24x9cm. The "Artwork" is PYRO-ETCHED.



At the Next Stop, I couldn't Resist! IT was just a Dollar... And, strangely "familiar"...

-- It wasn't until earlier this Evening, whilst Photographing all of This STUFF that I
"noticed" - I've *already* GOT One of These! ...Was a GIFT...

...oops! My Bad...

But, What-the-Hey! IT's not the
"first" RHINO Double in My rather Large Collection. And, I can NEVER have TOO *many* RHINOS!!

OH! Hey! LOOK! A little
"Squadron" of VINTAGE PLANES Flying by! -- COOL!

Meanwhile, We also ran into MRS. CLEAN at This SALE and gave Her a Lift Home, just down the Road... She'd already finished Her "Park Walk", but it was beginning to get Hotter out, and She's not suppose to be out IN the SUN for so long. Besides, We had to GO *that* Way anyhow!

And, off We were to Other "Areas"...


Picked up THIS 10-Inch High White Clay VASE for another DOLLAR... IT has a good Weight to IT. Clean Lines... IT can be Used ANYwhere!

Further into That Area, One of My "Regular" WASHCLOTH Customers was also holding a Yard Sale... MOTHER picked up some "Crafting" Items, and I got an Order for *more* WASHCLOTHS!

WOOHOO!!

...hmm... I'm going to have to embark on an EXPEDITION
*into* THE ROOM to Retrieve the Storage Bucket of My WASHCLOTH Inventory, for Some of the Colours that She needs... BTW, *IF* You don't "Hear" from Me.. It'll be because I'm *trapped* in some Alternate Dimension between YARN WORLD and The-GOOD-*STUFF*!! -- Bring extra Dr.Pepper and Chocolate!


Eventually, We made Our Way to BEACON HILL... Only a Few Sales There... However, at One of the "Regular" Sales, I gladly swapped a LOONIE for THIS refreshing OIL PAINTING by a LAURA WRIGHT... According to an "attached" 1983 Newspaper Article, that's suppose to be BRANSCOMBE Church on the Cliff...

I still have to do *more* Research. -- I did come across a British Artist by *that* Name, however, the STYLE is quite Different... And, despite being of a British Beach, the "Article" was from a Canadian Newpaper! -- So... IT's about 14x18in. Oil on Canvas. 1983..? Could do with a touch of Cleaning... And, has a not such a great Frame... As if "that", *really* matters!?

Afterward, it was Time to do some Groceries before heading to the Local COUNCILLOR - [Who was "Performing" in the DUNK TANK!] - Sponsored
"FUN FAIR"! -- A waay BIGGER Event than that Other One of Last Week!

THIS had actual "RIDES". And, a Bandstand with Music BLARING out at the GAZILLION Level!



We arrived TOO Late for the FREE HOT DOGS!

NUTS! I was beginning to get Peckish...

However, I did manage to get a FREE Blue
"ICICLE"! -- Haven't had one of THOSE in Decades!

But. HEY! LOOK! ... "FIRE TRUCK"! With the Ginormous LADDER... And, FIREMEN!

Oooo....! *EYE*-CANDY!!





And, ohh... Strapping Young PARAMEDICS!
-- MEET ANDREW and "DINO"!  -- They were Both quite CHARMING!

Anyway, We didn't stay long... Still had *more* Groceries to do, and the needed Pilgrimage to THE MALL. -- UV Levels were also peaking... As was, that Soon-to-be-DEAFNESS!

Less than 2-Hours later, We were settled Home... Where, I came across some Great NEWS!
-- Which, I will *Disclose*, TOMORROW!!
