So. IF You just IGNORE the SNOW-CAPPED LAWNS that Many a NEIGHBOUR were evening out to control Their "MELTS", IT was a GORGEOUS, WARM, SUNNY "SPRING" Day!! - Which, in turn, *meant* that EVERYONE-AND-THEIR-PROGENY were *OUT* on the Roads and IN the Store CHECK-OUT-LINES!!

Despite the TRAFFIC, We managed to make it to MICHAEL'S without *too* much Difficulty...

Surprisingly, it wasn't AS busy in There as I would have Expected from the almost Packed Parking Lot..? -- Whatever... I had a "DELIVERY" to make...

-- Although, IT only took a Couple of Hours to Make, I didn't "Start" IT until *AFTER* MIDNIGHT! *And*, was "DESIGNING"-on-the-Fly...

Besides, MARCH is "CROCHET-MONTH" and I still hadn't CROCHETED Anything, YET!!
-- BAD Me!!

Normally, I would have Used COTTON-YARN - [IT's much Quicker to work with] - however, My *CHEAPEST* YARN on hand was THIS "PINK" WOOL... I *needed* a "Container" for the EASTER-CANDY-HOARD that I wanted to Give to the MICHAEL'S STAFF. -- ALL of My
"GIFT-BOXES" were More Expensive, the *Wrong* Holiday, and already FROM There! - Then again, SO was the YARN, but I thought I'd just get "CREATIVE" with IT!!

However, MOST of the "REGULAR"-STAFF were OFF Today!! -- No MANAGER-DAVE or AMANDA... Though, ANDREA did show up "Early" for Her Shift... Apparently, there's a Bunch of NEW-PEOPLE recently Hired that'll I'll have to "Break-In"..??

nuts! -- MORE Names to REMEMBER... I'm BAD at THAT...

ANYHOO... IT was still a "HIT"! -- No doubt, the CANDIES *helped*, too!

Meanwhile, not sure IF I'll eventually get IT "back"..? Not that it matters really, IT was a Simple
"PATTERN" that I can Whip-Up again. Which, I should probably do anyway, as I wanted to see *how* well IT would FELT-up..? - Or, even *IF* IT would! -- However, THAT is for Another Day!

AS usual, We STAYED *Longer* than We probably SHOULD have! And, there were "COUPONS" to USE... Just got TWO-BALLS of the "Regular"-YARN and some Colourful METAL-HOOKS... I'll POST a PIC on Monday, perhaps.

NEXT STOP - "Groceries"... At the "Discount"-Priced-Grocer... With, another PACKED-Parking-Lot and the END-of-the-WORLD-OVER-FLOWING-FULL-Shopping-Carts-INFINITE-Checkout-LINES!! -- Got "LUCKY" and found a *FINITE* One, but IT moved like Sludge!

EVENTUALLY, We *ESCAPED*! -- To THE MALL, Next... And, LASTLY!

I had to go DOWNTOWN, Today. Which meant, I was *EXPOSED* to SHOPPING-MALLS-ALONG-THE-BUS-ROUTES... As in, the RIDEAU CENTRE MALL...

And, was subsequently, SUCKED-INTO the *SALES-VORTEXES* of THE GAP and OLD NAVY - [$15. COTTON-*LINEN* SHIRTS plus My 15%-OFF-COUPON..?!!] -- *HOW* could I RESIST?!

But, FIRST...

Apparently, there's this Little-YARN-Shop Called "YARNS, ETC.", about a Block over from the RIDEAU CENTRE MALL that I've only Recently "Heard-About"! -- So. Seeing as the Weather was SUNNY and NICE, I thought I'd give IT a LOOKSEE...

At this Point, I should also make a "Mention" concerning ITS "Location"... The SHOP is on a Side-Street across from the Old "OGILVY'S" DEPARTMENT STORE, which Closed-Down YEARS ago!! And, is just *NOW* being torn down... A NOT-so-Funny-Thing about THAT...

BTW, another "NOTE-of-INTEREST" -- OGILVY'S was *WHERE* THE ELDERLY-PARENTAL-UNITS "First-MET"!! -- MOTHER was a SALES-CLERK back THEN and FATHER was a CUSTOMER... But, THAT's an EPIC-"Yarn" for *Another* Day!!

So, back to the YARN-Store... So... Despite, Leaving the HOUSE an Hour Later than I had *Hoped* - after bringing IN the TRASH-CANS and SCOOPING "some" of the MELTWATER from the FRONT-WALK - "most" of My SOLO-ERRAND-RUNNING-GROCERY-GETTING went *well*...

WEATHER was WARM & SUNNY!
TRAFFIC was "Normal".
PARKING was Found.
BARGAINS were Had!

...At least, *UNTIL* I got HOME...

Let's just Say, that I am really, *REALLY* GLAD that I *hadn't* Bought any *GOOD*-"STUFF"!!

So... I'm about to UNLOAD the TRUNK's *CONTENTS*. Trying to Decide *which* Heavy-Bags to Grab First and, in what Order...

TRIP-1 -- The Strap-Handled-OPEN-BUCKET full of the ITEMS-That-Are-NOT-To-Be-Crushed-Broken-Or-"Dirtied"-By-The-TRUNK's-Floor. And, the Cloth-Bag with the 2 Big JUICE-BOTTLES.

TRIP-2 -- The Solid-Plastic-COOLER-BOX containing the 2-Bags of MILK and ICE-BRICKS.

-- The BOX is VERY Heavy. After moving IT Closer toward Me, I then go to also move the *SOFT*-COOLER-BAG - [Future TRIP-3] - as well...

...what the...?? -- OH. **crap**!!

aarrrrgggghhhhhhhhhhh!!!

I *quickly* bring the "BOX" into the HOUSE... AND, to Retrieve a ROLL of *PAPER-TOWELS*!!

Have I ever Mentioned about how GRATEFUL I am that the TRUNK is *LINED* with a SHEET of THICK-PLASTIC..??

So... USUALLY, I just Buy TWO "BAGS" - [they contain 3 smaller Bags] - of MILK when I go over to COSTCO. However, what with the upcoming LONG-WEEKEND and My Schedule, I decided to get THREE this Time. -- The "BOX" will only hold 2. The Third HAD to go into the "BAG"...

The COOLER-BAG is pretty much a Grocery-Getting FIXTURE for Us. IT's also OLD and has "seen-better-days"...

ANYHOO... It would appear that, at some Point, One of those LITTLE-BAGS sprung a LEAK! And, perhaps the "LARGE"-BAG as well..? Although, I suspect that since IT was lying on ITS Side, the Continuous-LEAKAGE might of just flowed out from the BAG's loose "Clip-Tie" at the Top... Or, a Sharp-Edge of One of the FROZEN-FOOD-PACKAGES could have Pierced the BAGS..??

WhatEVER the "CAUSE", I didn't really have Time to *INVESTIGATE* as I was TOO Busy TRYING to PREVENT further "CONTAMINATION"...

LUCKILY, the OTHER ITEMS in the COOLER-BAG were HARD-Plastic-SEALED! -- They were Fine after a quick RINSING... Also Fortunately, there were some extra Plastic-Bags in the TRUNK to place the Clean-Up-DEBRIS into *before* tossing IT into the TRASH-CANS. -- *MILK*, can be NASTY, even IN "WINTER"... And, the NEXT GARBAGE-"PICK-UP" isn't for another TWO WEEKS!!

MEANWHILE, the Half-EMPTY "CULPRIT" is Feeding a SNOWBANK for now! -- It was the only Place to put IT at the Time, seeing as I had My Hands FULL with sopping-up the OTHER-HALF... BTW, the SNOWBANK "Snow" actually ended-up being additionally USEFUL after all.

(Paper-Towels + MELTED Snow...) > (Being pressed for Time to get Stuff Cleaned...)

hmm... Gonna need to Find a NEW COOLER now... nuts!


oh. BTW, I know that I had "Promised" HAT PICTURES for Today, but I didn't get a Chance to DO That... TOMORROW, for SURE, though!!

"Report-TO", was somewhat Garbled...

Alas, My "CALLER" spots Me! -- IT's AMANDA...

Apparently, She was in Need of My KNITTING - [cough!] - "EXPERTISE" for a CUSTOMER with a "STITCH"-Question!?! And, Their "INSTRUCTOR" wasn't IN...

Needless to say, I "Corrected" Them BOTH on My LACK of *KNOWLEDGE* for THIS Particular QUESTION! Then, promptly directed Them to MOTHER! -- SHE *KNOWS* HOW to Read KNITTING-Pattern-"INSTRUCTIONS"!

Honestly, I'm much better with CROCHET, COLOUR, and CREATING... Although, it was NICE of AMANDA to "Think" of Me!

And, as IS Her *Way*, MOTHER just happened to Show-Up at *that* Moment! -- She and NICE-OLDER-OUT-OF-TOWN-LADY subsequently went on over to the BOOK SECTION to "Look-Up" the ANSWER...

However, those SAME TEMPS are also what makes the STUFF HEAVY and PACKING. Then, add in the Fact that IT just KEPT Coming DOWN!

*MORE* is EXPECTED during the Day, Tomorrow... Along with, "What" Fell AFTER I came IN... *HOPE* the SHOVELS have Dried-Out! As well as My COAT, Work-GLOVES...

You know, The-LOCAL-TV-WEATHER-GUY showed a PIC from THIS DAY *LAST* YEAR... Would You BELIEVE, IT was PLUS-22C..?!! And, *NO* SNOW!!!

I've got TWO more PANELS per HAT remaining. -- Would have probably had *less*, but there was this *BIT* of SNOW to "Take care of"... Just a Couple of Inches of FLUFF-ON-MELTWATER.

IT was actually *less* Arduous than Expected! - Except, for the Part where the SNOW kept *Annoyingly* STICKING to the SHOVEL!?! At least the TEMPS were WARM. "THEN"... And, The SUN came Out *more* as well. "AFTERWARD"...

TEMPS will be Bouncing back DOWN Tonight. Hopefully, Today's *MELT* will Freeze-DRY..?

We've got SHOP-EDITIONS to do Tomorrow, and I DON'T Feel like doing *any* DEEP-SINKHOLE-*DIVING* into ANY PUDDLE-COVERED-POTHOLES along the Way!!

ANOTHER *OVERCAST* Day, with an added rather NIPPY WIND... Actually, I probably really shouldn't *fuss* about THAT, as IT *HELPED* in sucking-up and Freeze-DRYING *most* of the MELTWATER that was Pooling all over! -- A GOOD Thing!

Meanwhile, We had a brief "FAMILY" Errand to run Earlier in the Afternoon, before I went on the Quickie-Solo-MILK-RUN. -- And, I *didn't* Buy ANYthing "EXTRA", either!! -- pooh! -- However, *NOT* to Fear, I made up for it with the Purchase of some STOCK-MARKET SHARES to Satisfy My "Spending" NEEDS! - At least, THEY will give Me a little *RETURN* Dividend! - eventually...

Secondly, despite My *Personal* NON-Religious Beliefs, I do Consider that *overall* - from a current Geo-Socio-Political perspective - that POPE FRANCIS I *is* a GOOD, WORTHY Choice! And, should prove to be an Intriguing Figure on the "GLOBAL-STAGE"!

At the very least, HE appears to be possibly "Influential" with WEATHER..??

Strangely enough, WHEN the "WHITE-SMOKE" appeared, SNOW-PELLETS began to Fall *HERE*. -[IT *hasn't* SNOWED in a couple of WEEKS!] - But THEN, when HE came Out onto "The BALCONY" for THE WORLD to see, *apparently*, the RAIN suddenly STOPPED at THE VATICAN..?? *AS* did Our SNOW! - oh. AND, The SUN came OUT, too!!

Meanwhile, as I spent Time "witnessing" HISTORY-IN-THE-MAKING, "STUFF" that I wanted to *DO* Today, got side-lined once *more*... Except, for the KNITTING, of course! -- I've managed to get past the HALFWAY-MARK... I should be Finished by the Weekend...

Just got TWO COTTON SWEATER-TUNICS -- Same Style. Different Colours. I'll have to Make a HAT to go with the LIMEY-YELLOW and GREY ONE. I *have* the YARN! And, the BLACK & WHITE ONE should go well with those BLACK "LEGGINGS" that I picked up Last Week..? -- I'm going to *have* to Find some SHOES now...

Actually, I hadn't "PLANNED" on going Out, Today... However, a *needed* ERRAND came up, so I tossed in a bit of SHOP-EDITION in. But, only within the General-Environs of THE MALL. -- See?? I really don't have go very "FAR", to get sucked into SPENDING *MONEY*! Just Exploring *past* My CURB will more than often DO the Trick!!
