PROBABLY, The SMARTEST Thing that My FATHER *ever* did as a Teenager, was to SAIL into The SUNSET...


...After a Week across The ATLANTIC in a tiny crowded Cabin, landing in a Dreary-looking HALIFAX, and wanting to immediately TURN BACK!! Then, an uncomfortable long Train Ride to OTTAWA, and after 2 ARDUOUS Years of working with His Brother-In-Law's Family, He **MET** MOTHER!

On HER Birthday....


The *REST*, as They say, "..IS KISMET.."! And, after well *over* a Half-Century LATER, IT *still* IS!









In the Meantime, whilst FATHER "played" with His INCOME TAXES - [I *still* have to do Mine, too! ugh!] - I took MOTHER to see the "ORIGINALS" SPRING CRAFT SHOW... It's on until Sunday.

I'll be BLOOGING about Our Adventures THERE, over the NEXT few Days... I'll have some PICS. We had a great Time meeting several *New* Exhibitors, and reuniting with a few of the Regulars...

OH! And, I *did* manage to FINISH Yesterday's Little Project! -- SEE!!

IT's an "extension" of My MOA-BOA Design...
For *Now*, I'm calling IT a "MOA-BO-ALOHA"! -- Product "Naming" can really be a *pain*!

Anyhoo... I wore IT Today. "Field-Testing"... Got some Good FEEDBACK. I think that I'll most probably ADD IT to My PRODUCT LINE...

Soooo.... TODAY's Weather was "breathtaking"... On and off SUNLIGHT. HOT - for this Time of Year - TEMPS. It went up to 23C! And, with what started out as a Swift, BALMY BREEZE, later turned into an even STRONGER, GUSTING *Clear-Sky* WIND STORM... sorta...

Whatever... it was considerably *better* than Last Night's almost-Record RAINFALL and THUNDER-STORM! ...sorta...

THERE are a Lot of DOUBLE BIRTHDAYS and ANNIVERSARY Combos in Our FAMILY! Saves on Calendar Space, I suppose...

Anyhoo.. TODAY it's My Brother, SGT.DOC and [cause He really is a good Marksman and, CUTE!] *HOT*SHOT, His Eldest Son's BIRTHDAY!! -- Alas, They live in ALBERTA... Hmm, perhaps Next Year, I'll drop by for a "Visit" - as it will be a Milestone of Significance for Them BOTH!

Meanwhile, for Me, - over Here, Two Times Zones to The RIGHT - it had started out as an "okay" Day. Although, by the Early Afternoon it began to RAIN. I managed to get a couple of Loads of Laundry done before it started. -- It's stopped for Now... no. Hang on a sec... ^%$#%  I hear *dripping*!

...It's suppose to continue Tomorrow, and the Day *after*, and...

Whatever...

So. HERE's a PIC of the Latest MOA-BOA done up in that CRAYZOLA Colour. The GREEN is much more Vivid than how it appears Here - which, SHOULD be somewhat more on the EMERALD side. If You CHECKOUT My Previous POSTS, those Pics pick up the Actual Colour much better. This was shot in Natural Light, which just washes away the True Intensity of the Palette.

AND, catching a WAVERLY...

With the Temps feeling Warmer OUTSIDE than INSIDE, and The SUN shining Bright - I was in a TROPICAL Mood! Hence, My frivolously eclectic Purchases for Today...

We began with a Visit to the Beacon Hill Mall SALLY-ANN... Miraculously, I was able to skillfully NAVIGATE the oft-times "hidden" PERILS of the CRATER FIELD that is Their PARKING LOT!!

Honestly, THE MOON is SMOOTHER! -- And, looking at the DEPTH of *most* of the "Abysses",
THIS is NOT the Place to *be* when it Rains... Not unless, You're driving a Submersible All-Terrain Vehicle equipped with SONAR!

--The "LANDMASTER" used in the 1977 Post-Apocalyptic Cult-Classic Movie "DAMNATION ALLEY" comes to Mind... Which, I *have* actually seen, literally "in passing" - at the Time [a Decade ago], IT was parked in an open Garage along one of the Freeways in LOS ANGELES!


Anyway, so, where was I..? Ah, right... the SALLY ANN... Where, I came across THIS -

A Genuine "ALOHA" SHIRT!! Actually Made IN HAWAII. And, 100% Cotton, Coconut-Nut Buttons... Usually, They're always Polyester or Rayon. [shutter!] -- It just Fits. Granted, I'm not usually into wearing such "Festive" Attire, but, it IS SPRING! And, I was just in that sort of Mood... The afore-mentioned Geothermic-like Parking Lot helped with that!

Then, it was off to a Grocery Store, and Another - which had a Cancer Charity "HOT DOG" STAND, that I partook of *after* We had safely traversed Their LAVA-FIELD-Wannabe-LOT!

Finally, We concluded Our Expedition
at THE MALL... I snuck in "another" Package of CRAYZOLA.


Afterward, I picked up THIS from THE BIN at THE GROCERY STORE...


It's a DUVET Cover, with a couple of SHAMS in "ZEBRA" by WAVERLY. It was the 100% Cotton and $14.94 that caught My Attention... And, was in-keeping with the TROPICAL Theme for the Day!

WOOHOO!! *Now* We're TALKIN'...! -- However, You may want to "mark" This Post - and The Moment - as I have NO Idea as to how LONG these Conditions will LAST! Afterall, this IS OTTAWA
- only the Annoying Weather is Predictable.

Alrighty... FRIDAY - First Day of the "Grocery Specials". -- I had a LIST. And, I was in need of getting to the WALMART Superstore over in Big-Box-Stores-Country - it's the *only* stable Supply of My Fav Brand of BLUEBERRY JUICE...

I began My Solo SHOP PLAN at PRICE-CHOPPERS - MOTHER's preferred Bread was On Special. Next, with a minor skirting of the REALLY-STUPID-WRONG-PLACE-TO-PUT-ONE-TRAFFIC-CIRCLE, and I was off toward the WALMART.

Once There, a brief Pause at the Next Door CANADIAN TIRE was in order. That Sale Price for MILK is still on until the 15th...

WALMART... I headed Right, toward the "YARN" Section. Which, really is pitiful these Days, I must
say! -- oh.. hold on... A-HA!  LOOK! A few Big Balls of **NEW** COLOURS!!  hehe!

I'm calling These - LAVEN-SEA and GUMMI-JUICE. -- Don't ask! You're Task is to just Observe, Admire, and then, PLACE an ORDER! -- [Shameless not so subliminal request so I can PAY for This STUFF...]

There was a Third Ball of the GUMMI-JUICE... I probably *should* have gotten it, too... But, You know, I had already spent all that Money on the FACTORY ENDS Yarn, *earlier* in the Week. I'll just have to Use it Sparingly... I DO have a Lot of ORANGE and PURPLE Shades to go with it!

Anyway, I got My JUICE, and MOTHER's. As well as, a few Non-LIST Items... I was beginning to run out of "Schedule", so I skipped the "Side Trip" to THE MALL. The ELDERLY PARENTAL-UNITS had Their own "SHOP PLAN" in the works upon My Return.

BTW, Thank You, ROAD CONSTRUCTION, for *Saving* Me from over working My "Plastic"... Today...
