Post-Craftiness...

I SUPPOSE THAT.. IF, I *had* to be a SQUIRREL - Today - I'd likely be THIS Guy... [one of SISTER's many Creature Pics!]

More GREY Hair, than RED. YARN FLUFF in My Face. Just vegging "on the Fence", with absolutely NO inclination to DO *anything*...

Despite, NOT having had much SLEEP Yesterday, I still ended up getting to Bed LATE. That whole TEMPORAL SHIFT business can be such an inconvenience at Times... Although, the EXTRA Hour does have its Moments...

Got UP really LATE, too! I guess all that "Rest" helped, as I wasn't feeling as "Sore" as I had expected to this Morning. However, I DID take My Time with catching up on My NEWSPAPER Reading, BEFORE having to tackle the Task of UNLOADING The Car of ALL My CRAFT SALE Paraphernalia... Luckily, the Weather was pleasantly SUNNY and Crisp.

Afterward, I spent the Rest of the Day catching up on "Paperwork" and "Planning" the remainder of the Week ahead... There's LOTS of "Little" Things that NEED to be ATTENDED to THIS Month, whilst the Weather is promising to be favorable THIS Week!

Oh, and I've finally come up with a COLOUR-PATTERN Combo for LITTLE PRINCESS BIG-RED's
"Promised" BLANKET! Amongst SISTER's Pics, were a few of The BABY's ROOM... It does help the "Creative" Process, to actually SEE The SPACE that One is trying to "Match Up" with!

Hopefully, I can get STARTED on IT later in the Week... IF, I don't have to go DIGGING too FAR into The ROOM for a couple of The COLOURS...

Okay. My *DAY* of "Adventures in CRAFTY RETAIL"... a.k.a. The GOOD SHEPHERD CHURCH CRAFT SALE -

• As predicted, LEFT House 15 Minutes LATER than Planned! MOTHER was with Me.
• Made good Travel-Time.
• HATE Driving IN the Dark!
• Oh, Joy! Almost wiped out getting Out of the Car - a fine film of BLACK ICE on Parking Lot!
• Many trips hauling STUFF into "Church", to TABLES, dodging OTHER Vendors...
• Trying to DO the Job of several Clones in SETTING UP.
• MADAME-Q and Her Daughter - Y-GEN BABE haven't shown up YET! [They had the 3rd Table]
• The SUN has come Up! Lasering into Room from Wall of Windows...
• Barely have Time to take fuzzy Pics of the Tables BEFORE "Opening".

What PEOPLE See - IF They *bother* TO look - when Entering the Main Room. And, get past the Vendor on the Left...

Actually, IT looks MUCH better IN Person. With lots and LOTS of Colours just waiting to Lure unsuspecting Shoppers to Them... -- Now, IF I had a Larger Vehicle, Clones, a Time-Share of SANTA's Workshop... I could probably have a more Interesting and less Laborious Set-Up. I have

Meanwhile...

SALES were steady... Mostly of the WASHCLOTHS, and a MOA-BOA.  Those WASHCLOTH COMBO SETS sparked a fair amount of Interest - and, a few Purchases! BLANKET "Viewing" could have been better...

Actually, that's more for My NEXT "Show" - My Table Assignment *there* offers MUCH better access. Mine's the FIRST Booth You see when Entering the MAIN ROOM! -- Location, Location, Location...

Anyway... thankfully, Today's SALE was only about 6 Hours. After, rushing to PACK UP - an arduous Task! - I was on the Exhausted side.... Sooo GLAD that the Weather held, and that Traffic wasn't too bad getting Home. Meanwhile, MOST of the STUFF is STILL in the Car! I just don't have the desire to HAUL it all back into the House just yet...

Besides, My Lower Back is a bit of a "mess" right now. And, I'm still coming DOWN from all that SALES PITCH "High"... I'm in "VEG" Mode at the Moment.

OH!  SISTER and BIG-D dropped by for a little while this Evening. They're in a Hotel Tonight, and then heading Home in the Morning, back to New Brunswick. They've been Here for almost 3 Weeks... -- I copied off a couple of SISTER's Camera Cards... Still have to take a look at the Contents... There should be some NEW Pics of LITTLE PRINCESS BIG-RED that I can use for Future BLOOG Posts!

Okay. I think I'll test out that whole Wakefully-Challenged Thing now...

TODAY has been - raining, raining, RAINING, raining, not raining, raining, drizzle, not raining, raining - getting DRIPPED ON along the way to the Garage to LOAD the Car - raining, RAINING, raining, not raining, not raining, drizzle, raining - took My shower - raining, not raining, drizzle, it's Suppose to STOP by Early Morning...

So. THIS is Most of My LOAD. The Ginormous Wheeled Soft-SUITCASE filled with 35 plus pounds of BLANKETS was still at the Bottom of the Stairs... Then, there's 3 or 4 more Bags... MOTHER...

It's a SMALL Car.

But, I'm a Skilled PACKER. -- Me, with a TAPE-GUN, is a Sight to Behold!

Meanwhile, the Scariest Part... even with the Removal of ALL of this VOLUME, The ROOM still doesn't look like I've made a DENT into IT!

I NEED *another* DIMENSION to store THIS STUFF!

Well, HOPEFULLY, "Some" - as in, a LOT - of IT will get Good Homes, where They can happily play with New People in New Places...

ALMOST had a Pharaoh-ic Moment - BURIED in the Middle of My "Storage" Room by ALL of My STUFF! Alas, I did succeed in tunnelling My way OUT!

No Lie... I've got this 10'x12' Room that is literally FULL! Packed up Boxes of "Things" for - what I call - The-House-I'll-Never-Own. Then, there's the Dozen or so Containers of INVENTORY...

And, Let's NOT forget about ALL of the YARN!!  -- DO the Math! SINCE, starting this BLOOG, I've "acquired"... maybe, 10 or more CUBIC FEET worth?!

There's this NARROW "Path" into The ROOM that goes about 4 feet IN... through the 6-foot HIGH Stackings... And, of course, the CRAFT SALE Equipment has been Stored UNDER the Latest Additions! -- I've got to say, that "On Sale" FOLDING 2-STEP LADDER I bought a couple of years ago... A Blessing!

Anyway, I finally FOUND Everything that I was looking for. Most of The GEAR is Ready to GO! Just have a few Last Minute Items to attend to Tomorrow, before PACKING the Car. The ONLY
"Concerns" left are The WEATHER, and MOTHER's ability to BE ready to Leave WHEN I AM!!

So far, it's been Raining on and off all Day. Suppose to be much MORE of the Same, Tomorrow. At Present, "rumour" has it, that it will be SUNNY on Saturday, BUT, with the "possibility" of SNOW FLURRIES!!

I'm hoping, hoping, HOPING, that any "Flurries" will hold OFF, until AFTER We GET Home!

Meanwhile, have to get This POST off... Would have sooner, but My silly ECO-Light BULB went on Me! Luckily, I happened to HAVE a Spare One! I truly do MISS My OLD Power-Hungry Bulbs... These NEW Ones, they SMELL when they Burn Out! ...that can't be good...

It's a damn good thing that The KID is sooo CUTE!!

Anyway... I'm truly UP to My Eyeballs here! There are some RACK Pieces that need "Locating"...

Somewhere... IN this CHAOS, there actually IS some ORDER... However, do Yourselves a favour, and try NOT to STRAIN *anything* Searching for IT!

BAD NEWS - MOTHER got Me out of Bed earlier than I would have LIKED, because the TV CABLE was OFF... She didn't have the Proper Phone Number handy...

REALLY GOOD NEWS - Got a Voicemail Message from the New MICHAEL'S Store saying that I had WON a $100. GIFT CARD!!!

Hmm... I have GOT to ATTEND these GRAND OPENINGS more often, as this is the SECOND Time that I've Won one of those CARDS at a New MICHAEL'S...

Well, there's SISTER's and MOTHER's "Christmas" Gifts pretty much covered!

So. I popped on over to the TRAINYARDS Area... Ah. The newly installed TRAFFIC LIGHTS are finally operational. About time!

A busy, busy place this Latest MICHAEL'S. New STAFF stocking the Shelves in the YARN Section. More than enough CHECKOUT CLERKS keeping Themselves occupied. "Happy Face" Perkiness abounded! -- They must also get STOCK OPTIONS...

Received My much coveted GIFT CARD, and went "Power Browsing"... It would have been impolite to just leave.

Oh, hey.. There's some more of that "on sale" RIBBON. AND, in the Colours that I would have preferred on Saturday. Now, have to find some more of that Yarn-looking WRAPPING PAPER -- Nuts! Only one left...

Meanwhile, I keep getting these 50% vouchers from the Store - that are ONLY good for "certain" DATES... Going to SAVE My CARD for Then. Got My Eye on a particular CIRCULAR KNITTING NEEDLE. Don't want to WASTE My FREE "MONEY"! -- It's not going anywhere, and I'm in no rush... I can BE patiently frugal, when need be.

Besides, I believe there was suppose to be some Ginormous ROCK "passing" The PLANET Today? I've already beaten that whole "Astronomical" Odds thing ONCE... I'm NOT about to mess with FATE, and/or the Rest of The UNIVERSE! It's bad enough, that They've knocked off the CABLE!

Hey, I even sent MICHAEL'S a "Thank You" TWEET! -- Just "covering" My Karmic Tush!

Yes? Okay. Now, imagine a GREAT BIG RED "X" painted on Him... THAT happened a few Weeks back.

Since then, He's been attacked by BOTH Neighbour's LEAVES, run over by lost SQUIRRELS, and recently, SNOWED on!



So... EARLIER this Morning, MOTHER hears "weird" Noises OUTSIDE... Looks OUT the Window and sees THIS Contraption - STUMP MULCHING!

Ah, really, GUYS..? DEAD Tree "Robbing" on ALL SAINTS' DAY...?

I can't help but imagine, that there must be some sort of Cosmic/Karmic/Theologic, extremely inappropriate, yet hysterically humorous "JOKE" involving "Druids" and/or Other Tree-Huggie Types, just hovering in the BACK of many a Mind out there, right now...

Anyway, after "exhuming" and collecting ALL Traces of the Arboreal Remains, the "Scene" was
FILLED in and COVERED up by much DIRT. Then, SEEDED...

Hmm.. Looks like a clear Case of "Planting OVER Evidence" to Me!


In the Meantime... Seeing as I have a CRAFT SALE on Saturday, I'll be spending a good part of My Time in the next few Days PREPPING for IT! A LOT of "Behind the Scenes" WORK is involved with These EVENTS. And, when it's a ONE-WOMAN "Team" with a SMALL Car and MUCH Equipment and Inventory that has to be SET UP [and Later, PACKED UP] in a SHORT amount of Time...

...BTW, have I mentioned the Part about MOTHER coming, WITH Her STUFF, too!?

LONG STORY SHORT - It can ALL be just a wee bit STRESSFUL... And, I **NEED** CLONES!!
