WE "CELEBRATED" WITH... FATHER Viewing the HOCKEY PLAYOFFS and Me, Taking MOTHER Shopping... Originally, We had "Planned" on going DOWNTOWN to Visit The NATIONAL WOMENS' SHOW at the OTTAWA CONVENTION CENTRE...

However...

I really wasn't Feeling all THAT "Enthused" about having to Take a BUS There - on a SATURDAY - with MOTHER in-tow, and THEN, have to BATTLE Our way through the PRESSING-HORDE-of Overly-Perfumed-Blinged-Out-LEMONed-20-SOMETHINGS bent on Achieving Whatever-"TREND"-of-the-Week-FASHIONISTA-NIRVANA!

Besides, for the Admission-Price, the FREEBIE-Stuff just AIN'T What IT Used to BE!

Anyhoo, AS IT turned out, *HAD* We Gone, I would have MISSED OUT on a *much* more Beneficial "HOARD"!! -- Is "56-Years" the "YARN-Anniversary"..?

THIS, is just a SAMPLE "Representation" of My Conquests!

We headed for TRAINYARDS on the Theoretical Assumption, and *HOPE*, that perhaps, MOST of the Regular-Mindless-MARSHALLING-MASSES would *instead* be DOWNTOWN Today..?

MICHAEL'S had THE Smaller BERNAT BALLS for a Dollar...

I haven't Seen That BLUSH-PINKish Shade before - Got a Dozen.

Nor, the DARK-DENIM in Larger BALLS - got 20 of THOSE smaller ones instead. - [I probably *shouldn't* have as IT later turns out...]

And, of course, the Usual 40%-OFF-COUPON Purchase of WOOL.


Since Our Visit was on the Briefer-side, We Ventured over to MARSHALL'S... THEY DO have some rather Stylish LITTLE-GIRL-DRESSES that would Look quite Chic on LITTLE-PRINCESS-BIG-RED.

We went. We SAW. We Chatted-up a Few People. We LEFT. We Circumvented to WALMART ahead of the Shopping-Curve... -- Just got a bit of Groceries.

On Our Path to THE MALL, We did a Quickie-Side-Trip to VALUE-VILLAGE.

Where, THESE were "given-a-New-Home"!

IT's *NOT* like I don't ALREADY have SEVERAL, but, THEY are ENGLISH-Made. -- And, for just $1.68 for the WHOLE LOT, *neither* was I going to Say,
"NO"!




MEANWHILE, at the Soon-To-Be-CLOSING-ZELLERS...

hmm... IT would *appear* that SOME of Those COTTON-YARN-FACTORY-ENDS Packages [that I have NOT Seen in *AGES*!!]
have been "RE-Discovered" from the INVENTORY-ROOM!?!

oh. look... THEY ARE **ON-SALE** FOR ONLY **$4.89**!!??

A "TICKET" on One of Our *Larger* Weekly LOTTERIES in CANADA, goes for $5. -- In some regards, THAT might not "seem" like a Great Amount... - However, considering the Numbers-Needed-to-WIN and the Lower-End-Payouts, "BANG-FOR-BUCK" IT's just NOT *THAT* Successful on a "regular" basis!

THAT Said, I prefer to "save" My *Chances* for SPECIAL "OCCASIONS" - as in - "FRIDAY, the 13THs"! -- When She was Out, earlier, I had MOTHER get Me a "QUICK-PICK"...

huh. -- MOST of the Numbers are the Birthdays of FAMILY MEMBERS! ..very weird...

OR, JUST MY *USUAL* BRIGHT & SHINY-NESS..?

I had to make a Trip to DOWNTOWN Today. -- I have a few Chronic "Skeletal"-Issues that require a Regular-Regiment of Attention... Hence, My Appointment to have My Semi-Decade X-RAYS done.

And, IT gave Me an Excuse - [as IF I really *needed* one!] - to get some Non-Vehicular-Use-Shopping taken care of.

However, some "PLANS" Change... I "noticed" that I didn't have Enough BUS TICKETS. Sooo... A 20-Minute WALK to THE MALL was in order to BUY Some and Take a BUS from There.

I needed to get LOTTERY TICKETS as well... Also, to CA$H One in. -- Hey! Check-IT-out, the WINNINGS are *more* than I had Expected?! -- Apparently, I *WON* $7. Last Saturday and didn't Realize IT! - WooHoo!

Anyway... I had BUSES to Catch to make it to My Appointment *ON TIME*! -- THREE BUSES Later... Got THERE, with a couple of Minutes to Spare! - So, of course, DR.G was Running a Half-Hour *BEHIND* Schedule!!

HAD I *known*, I probably could have Squeezed-in My "Planned" BANKING Visit along the Way..? Seeing, as IT turned out, the Place was CLOSED by the Time I was headed HOME!

With just a Few Minutes LEFT on My BUS-TRANSFER, I Hopped a BUS to The RIDEAU CENTRE - as IT WAS on My Way HOME...

Dropped by OLD NAVY. Met the MANAGER - a Pleasant Fellow... We Chatted... I then went on to POWER-Peruse... Had a DISCOUNT-Thingy that was Expiring Soon, so I put IT to Use. In the End, got FOUR TOPS for *only* $20. - including Taxes!

Breezed through THE GAP without Purchase... Although, I did take Time to Assist a FELLOW-CUSTOMER on Accessory-Colour-Selection to go with a Sweater that She was Buying for Someone. -- I Live to EDUCATE the "COLOUR-WHEEL"-LESS!

Meanwhile, the Hour was getting ON... I still needed to get to the BANK and do more Stuff at THE MALL.

Got off the First BUS at THE BIG MALL long enough to Discover that the BANK was CLOSED! - I would have done Other Shopping There, but I had Other Stuff YET to do. - Back onto the Second BUS!

Did the Mini-POWER-Peruse of THE MALL. Got My Dinner, and "Munch"-Food! Then, started for HOME... The NEXT-BUS wasn't Due for another 24-Minutes, so I Walked the 17-Minutes toward the SETTING SUN...

POOPED NOW!! And, just Waiting to GLOW-IN-THE-DARK...

SHE was out Shopping with FATHER and "happened" to be Near the SALLY-ANN... And, Found THIS for $1.99...

If the Abundance-of-Imbedded-BARKY-BITS are *any* Indication, This SKEIN appears to be HOME-SPUN..? -- IT *definitely* NEEDS to be Cleaned *more*! And, DE-BARKED!

Much too COARSE for Clothing... Perhaps a BAG..? IT'll have to be MIXED with Something Else... Then, FELTED.

IT does have a Lovely BLEND of COLOURS, within IT though!

Anyhoo... I WISH that I *could* have been THERE - [ALBERTA] - to Share in the PARTY-ness...

HOWEVER, since I was Stuck HERE, I "Celebrated" with a bit of - [yeah! You "GUESSED" IT!] - WOOLY-ness!!

WOW! -- I Managed to get INTO the MICHAEL'S Parking-Lot in Quick Order for ONCE! Oooo! And, My FAV Parking SPOT was Empty, too!! YAY!

Mind you, the *constant* FLOW of PEOPLE Frequenting the Next-Door MARSHALL'S did Remind Me of the Comings and Goings of an ANT COLONY! -- I did My *utmost* to NOT Drive STEP on THEM! - [..picking out crushed iPHONE bits from the Tire-Treads is arduous...]

So. "SENIORS' DAY"! - woohoo! *Saved* a whole 32-Cents on That "DISCOUNT"! - [I did *much* Better with the 40%-OFF-Coupon YARN Acquisitions!]

-- "IT" also entailed, "Assisting" LITTLE-OLD-LADIES-Who-Surprisingly-Actually-DON'T-Know-How-To-KNIT-So-Well... [Someone will be getting a Pricey-POMPOM-Yarn-BLANKET! Eventually..]

We would have done *more* Shopping, however, NASTY-DARK-RAINY-CLOUDS were on the Horizon... And, IT was still WINDY. -- We went Straight HOME.

Besides, I had YARN to *PLAY* with!!

that the STOCK MARKETS had fared BETTER!!

"Holiday" DIGGING-OUT of MUCH SNOW! -- And, come to think of it, BABY-BRO - [who lives in ALBERTA] - hasn't had such Pleasant Weather, either...

ANYway... At "some" Point during the Wee-Hours, the WIND *peeled* over Our LARGE Front-Stoop MAT! -- huh. that's never happened before...weird.

I stayed IN. Saving My "Budget" for Tomorrow's SHOP-edition to MICHAEL'S... "SENIORS' DAY"! - Have a Few of those 40%-Coupons to Acquire-WOOL-With! -- I just HOPE that any of the Expected RAIN holds off..?

Meanwhile... Been "PIÑ"ata-ing My wicked Ways through PINTEREST again. I'm actually beginning to Get "FOLLOWERS"!! WooHoo! - [Hey, GATEGIRL!]

And, I've managed to get a Few *more* Rows done on the "SOMETHING-RED"-Project... Gonna get Back to THAT for a little bit before Bed - I want to Finish-Off the BALL...

HAPPY "Chocolate-Creature-Consumption" DAY!!

..HOLD ON... *ALL* I had *Today* was Chocolate-CHIPS..? -- pooh!! --  I have Chocolate-Bunny-"Turds" EVERYday! -- [THAT's just *NOT* Right, somehow!?]

oh, well... At least I got to "Mess" with some DUST-BUNNIES! -- I was Trying to "Find" a Place for that TWIGGY-CANDELABRA and the SHINY-RHINO in the Living Room... I had hoped to Put the "BRANCH" atop of My CURIO-CABINET, however, the "Spot" was already Occupied.

DISCOVERED One of D-BUNNIES' *Secret* LAIRS! ...And, a RHINO-Figurine that I had Forgotten about.

Eventually, with *some* "Rearranging", TWIGGY is on a Table, and SHINY found a Precarious-Perch amongst the Other "HOARD"-Members... I'm going to have to start Hanging some of those UNDER-$5.-Yard-Sale-OIL-PAINTINGS I have, so They can be SEEN!

Then, IT was back to more Tweaking on PINTEREST... for several Hypnotic-Hours... Later on, after almost a WEEK of NOT doing ANYthing, I Returned to the RED-THINGY-Project.

You know... I could *do* with some "C-CHIPS" right now!
