DAY THREE -- I *Should* have Taken a PICTURE!!

AS, IT IS APPARENTLY A *RARE* OCCURRENCE TO OBSERVE BIG-D DOING "YARD-WORK"!! -- He managed to do a FINE Job on the Lawn with that OLD-PUSH-MOWER!

MEANWHILE... SISTER has been going GARDENING-GAGA with the FRONT YARD **ALL** Day!! -- She "Horticultures" like I "Shovel"... I just hope that all of Them PRETTY-PLANTS will "Survive" being BURIED under 4-plus-FEET of SNOW come WINTER!

well... I've got an EARLY MORNING ahead. And, an even *EARLIER* on FRIDAY!! -- So, MUST get TO Bed!!

...so...I'm at THE GAP, rather ENJOYING the STORE's "MUSIC"... There's some Piece of CLASSIC-"..THE DEVIL'S MUSIC!.." Genre of PRE-ROCK'N'ROLL playing -- The *sort* of Rhythm that would have *INSPIRED* ELVIS! -- And, I casually strike up a Conversation with a VERY-PRETTY-20-SOMETHING-GIRL who is also finding IT "appealing"...

As I give Her a "TWITTER"-VERSION-MUSIC-HISTORY-LESSON, I just happen to toss in a *Habitual*-"DICK CLARK"-Colloquialism... I get back the DEER-IN-THE-HEADLIGHTS-STARE!

Granted, We're in CANADA and "DICK" is an *AMERICAN*-ICON, but still..?!

When Her Eyes began to GLAZE-OVER as I *Explained* "AMERICAN-BANDSTAND", I pretty much surrendered and told Her to "ASK" Her PARENTS! -- I probably *should* have suggested the *GRAND*-PARENTS!

At THAT Moment, I began to FEEL "ANCIENT"! -- And, *WITHOUT* a SENIORS'-DISCOUNT!!

I then proceeded to Purchase the ON-SALE-NEON-CORAL-COTTON-SWEATSHIRT and headed for MICHAEL'S...

BTW, THE "WORKING" PART LITERALLY *IS* A "RELATIVE" TERM!

okay. so... Just a **WARNING** - that "THIS WEEK" is going to be *quite* BUSY for THE-FAMILY in regards to Matters that I *won't* be Mentioning "HERE"! -- *Some* Aspects of OUR Lives just *aren't* ready for "Prime-Time"-BLOOGING...

THAT said, *IF* I have Time, I will TRY to *continue* My DAILY POSTINGS "Live"... However, as "BACK-UP", I will be setting up a Series of *short*, though hopefully, Picturesque "PRE"-PUBLISHED-POSTINGS.

My upcoming SLEEP-"Schedule" promises to be considerably "STATIC" at Best! So, I'll be catching "CAT-NAPS" whenever I CAN! ...IF, I don't NOD-OFF, first!! -- WHERE possible, I'll be sure to squeeze-in *some* CURRENT "Content"..?


Meanwhile, as for TODAY...

I managed a *few* Hours of SLEEP, before heading OUT to an EARLY APPOINTMENT. Then, AFTERward, Several ERRANDS, and My Weekly MILK-RUN to COSTCO! - IT was a GROCERY-GETTING Day! And, with the Exception of a SUPER Sale-Price on Our Fav Brand of PAPER TOWELS over at STAPLES - [of ALL Places!?] - IT was also, a rather somewhat BORING-Day!!

well.. EXCEPT perhaps, for *totally* CONFUSING CLUELESS-CASHIER-GUY with a Price-Difference-REFUND! -- Just a small "Entertaining"-Moment... THAT *NEVER* GETS *OLD*!

*THE SETTING*

• We have a "Frosted"-WINDOW next to The DOOR.
• Covering IT - on the INside - is a Strip of BEIGE Heavy-Plastic-MESH. - [DON'T ask *WHY*. Just Accept.]
• There's also an AMBER-Toned - [Harvest-Gold?] - Loose-weave DRAPE that can be pulled over Both.

*THE SET-UP*

• On My way Downstairs after Dinner, I decided to CLOSE the OUTER-SCREEN-DOOR-WINDOW as there looked to be some RAIN-CLOUDS headed Our way...
• As I was Surveying the VIEW, I happened to Catch "MOVEMENT" to My RIGHT..? - [Although I have POOR *Focus*-Abilities, My *FIELD*-of-VISION is *way* ABOVE Average!]
• hmm... Probably *another* stupid ANT or FLY..? -- FATHER had been IN & OUT Earlier. And seldom, "pays Attention" to WHAT "sneaks-IN"...
• I *carefully* move the CURTAIN askew...

*THE SITUATION*

• ohh, *$#!%$*(^&%!!! -- IT's a &#*)^$*%%$# BUMBLE-BEE!?!
• [NOTE - I-AM-**ALLERGIC**-TO-BEES!!]

*THE SOLUTION*

• [another NOTE - When My "FIGHT-or-FLIGHT"-Response is dialed to "FIGHT", I usually go *NUCLEAR* on My METHODOLOGY!]
• [side NOTE - How-the-FRAK did FATHER *NOT* see this BLIMP fly IN..??!!]
• oh-kaay... so... The **ONLY** Thing "SAVING" Me right now from BERTHA-BEE, is ITS continuing "INSTINCTIVE"-Fascination with THE-MESH!! - THAT looks like a HONEYCOMB!
• From previous "Experience", a Closeup-Blindside-FORCEFUL-SOLID-*SQUISH* is the BEST Way to go!
• *IF* You're LUCKY!!
• ah! ONE of MOTHER's YARD-SALE-FINDS from Yesterday looks to be suitable "WEAPON-of-MESSY-DESTRUCTION"...
• now... IF I can just See IT *through* that CURTAIN... And LINE IT UP... Close... QUIET... Slowly...
• **SMACK**!!
• And, a little GRINDY-SQUISH to Make-SURE!
• seriously?! -- Are They making These GUYS out of RUBBER now? -- IT's just Stuck to the DRAPE and, I'm *not* seeing AS much "Squishiness" as I would LIKE..?
• IT had *better* BE DEAD!!
• IF "not", then I NEED to "DISPOSE" of IT **QUICKLY**!!
• I need a Small bit of CARDBOARD... yeah. THAT Empty-Box My "KRILL" Capsules came in should do.
• Covering the [Hopefully a]-CORPSE with a small "PILL"-CUP, I *slid* the Cardboard between the Rim and the Fabric to form a "Seal"...
• Meanwhile, seeing as IT didn't *DIRECTLY* "Threaten" Me, I decided to give IT a more "Humane" Disposal... [You *don't* want to know HOW I dealt with the LAST ONE! -- Let's just say, IT was "put on ICE", and leave it at that..]
• IT got FLICKED *OUT* the DOOR! - INto the BUSHES...
• Besides, Tomorrow *IS* "GARBAGE"-DAY! -- "NATURE" can do ITS own *RECYCLING*!!

Made it BACK to "HARBOUR" in the *Nick* of Time!!

WE'VE BEEN *WAITING* FOR THE RAIN! - If only, to Melt-off the HUMIDITY! Luckily, the SKIES were SEMI-Overcast and far LESS *SCORCHING* than Yesterday!

Another *LATE* Start... However, *most* of the Day's YARD-"SALE"-ing was in OUR Neighbourhood! And, the NEXT One over to the WEST. -- Although, We did pop over to BEACON HILL for a Quickie-LOOKSEE afterward.

Anyhoo... My BEST "CATCH"-of-the-Day was THIS 18x24-inch PAINTING for $5. by "P. DYBLE"..?

-- BTW, I absolutely HATE the FRAME! That will definitely get *tossed*! - Unless of course, I find Time - *some* Day - to "Creatively" RE-do IT..? I've yet to really Check-Out ITS "Quality" and Condition.



Meanwhile, in Keeping with Today's apparent Purchasing-"THEME", I also picked up THESE TWO CERAMIC FISH DISHES...

The FIRST, 11-Inches, Made in ITALY -- for 50-Cents... I Found ITS SIMPLISTIC-"Construction" to be INTRIGUING.

As I did the GLAZING on THIS ONE-DOLLAR 16-Inch DISH...

*ONE* of these Days, I'm probably going to HAVE TO *LEARN* "HOW" to Properly COOK *WHOLE*-FISH!! -- I certainly have ENOUGH "SERVING"-WARE for a FISH-FRY!!

oh. And, I also got a Bunch of THESE 9-Inch TIN BOXES for 25-Cents Each... FOUR BLACK Ones and THREE in BROWN. -- Now, I just have to Decide on *what* STUFF to put IN Them!

Later on, GROCERY-GETTING was had. Along, with a Visit to MICHAEL'S... It's been a Few Weeks since MOTHER has been There. And, I was *hoping* that the NEW YARN-"TURN-OVER" Shipments would be *IN*..? -- NO Luck... Perhaps by TUESDAY..?? - I'm *eager* to get a "PRE-View"!

RAIN-CLOUDS were gathering CLOSE-by when We *eventually* GOT HOME... About 20-Minutes AFTER I unloaded THE CAR, the HUMIDITY-*SLICING*-DOWNPOUR finally Happened!! - Accented, with a just a touch of THUNDER...
